Missions Celebration Big Valley Grace -- 2006
Tuesday, March 1, 2005
-- The court battle for custody is well under way.
Wedesday, March 2, 2005
-- Mailed
out a package to great-great aunt Ruth. I sent her a copy of Hudson
Taylor, one of the great missionaries to China. I also sent a copy of
the story that Dara wrote for his school newspaper, about our 3rd
cousin, President Abraham Lincoln. Still petitioning for signatures on
the Parents' Right To Know petition.

-- My
mouth is still sore from the dentist pulling the tooth. Called
great-great aunt Ruth. She told me that the first television she ever
saw was around 1955, when she lived in Montana. She remembers listening
to a crystal radio when she was about seven years old (around 1927).
She said that radio did not have speakers. You had to listen with
headphones. Called mother. She went shopping to get something for
Benjamin.
Sunday, March 6, 2005
-- Dara and daddy watched the movie Kody Bank 2. We will keep the movie for Benny to watch when he comes to visit next week.
Wednesday-Friday, March 9-11, 2005
-- Met
with my lawyer, Charles Levatino. Friday, I met with the court
mediator/psychololgist. Had to take off work for the whole day.
Saturday-Sunday, March 12-13, 2005
-- Went
over to Tim's. He helped me work on the van. Had to replace the
thermostat and the radiator cap. Dara, Ben and daddy went swimming
today. Sunday, called Julie, then the three of us went to church at Big
Valley Grace for the early morning service. After church called
great-great aunt Ruth. She was telling me about a different version of
Scrabble, where you can place letters on top of other letters, in order
to create new words on top of old words!
Aunt Ruth taught her son Jerry how to cook. When
Jerry was in the military he would call home and ask her to send him
recipies. Aunt Ruth received the book about the missionary Hudson
Taylor and the article Dara wrote about Abraham Lincoln.
Thursday, March 17, 2005
-- Met
with Benjamin's teacher, Mr. Barbaree. Aftwards, I met with Mr. Haley,
Dara's 6th grade teacher. I bought a copy of Mr. Haley's book, which he
autographed for me! Mr. Haley is the pastor of a church west of
Modesto, in a farming community.
Monday-Thursday, March 21-23, 2005
-- Monday,
gathered 209 signatures today! Met with lawyer. Wednesday, gathered 212
signatures!! Took Dara to meet with Mark Clements, the youth pastor and
counselor at Big Valley Grace. We got to listen to the youth band
practicing while waiting. Man, that band rocks!! Thursday, met with
pastor Ron Blanc.
Saturday, March 26, 2005
-- Called
Aulney Brown, grandpa's friend. Also spoke with Rodney Shaw, one of our
Andrews cousins. His aunt Velma Andrews is in a nursing home. She fell
down, and wasn't eating properly. Also called cousin Ty. The sleep
tests show that he has sleep apnea. Benny, Dara and daddy watched the
Munsters.
Sunday, March 27, 2005
-- The
three of us went to the Easter sunrise service at Big Valley Grace.
There were lots of people there. Weather was a bit chilly and windy,
but no too terrible. After church, Benny and daddy played Uno for 3 1/2
hours!
Wednesday, March 30, 2005
