Saturday-Monday,
February 3-5, 2007--
Went to the health club with Dara. While I was swimming, Dara worked
out with weights and machines, then he hit the poool, while I endured
the sauna. Spa was out of order. Monday afternoon I went to Emergency.
The did blood tests and a CAT scan. Doctor thinks I have
diverticulitis. I will need to see my regular doctor. Hopefully I can
see a specialist and find out exactly what is going on. I've had these
terrible pains in my right side for over six weeks now!
Tuesday,
February 6, 2007--
Picked up Dara at the Hutton House. Got Dara enrolled at Mo-High. Met
with Dara's counselor later that day. Ben and I went to Celebrate. Had
a long chat with Kevin. He is living at grandma's again.
Tuesday-Wednesday,
February 13-14, 2007--
We all went to Celebrate. Left after the testimony by Linda, so Dara
could get back to the recovery house early. Wed: Working at Elliott
again. Another good day. Youth group and Family Night party at Shelter
cove!
Monday-Tuesday,
February 19-20, 2007--
Monday: Worked on cleaning and organizing. Benny and I watched a
documentary about President George Bush and his faith. Then we watched
another documentary about Christianity in the White House. Very
enlightening indeed!

Dara went with the youth group to feed the homelesss. Way to go Dara
...... Reaching out to the poor and needy is a commendable task in the
eyes of God. Proverbs tells us not to turn away from helping the poor
and destitute.
Scripture
for today: Proverbs 14:21,
"He who despises his neighbor sins, but blessed is he who is kind to the needy."
Proverbs 14:31,
"He who oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honors God."
Proverbs 15:16,
"Better is little with the fear of the Lord than great wealth with turmoil."
Proverbs 16:8,
"Better a little with righteousness than much gain with injustice."
Proverbs 16:16,
"How much better to get widsom than gold, to choose understanding rather than silver."
Proverbs 17:1,
"Better a dry crust with peace and quiet than a house full of feasting with strife."
Proverbs 17:5,
"He who mocks the poor shows contempt for their Maker ..."
Proverbs 19:1,
"Better a poor man whose walk is blameless than a fool whose lips are perverse."
Proverbs 21:13,
"If a man shuts his ears to the cry of the poor, he too will cry out and not be answered."
Proverbs 22:1,
"A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold."
Scripture
for today: Proverbs 22:9,
"A generous man will himself be blessed, for he shares his food with the poor."
Proverbs 22:16,
"He who oppresses the poor to increase his wealth and he who gives gifts to the rich -- both come to poverty."
Proverbs 22:22,
"Do not exploit the poor because they are poor and do not crush the needy in court."
Proverbs 28:3,
"A ruler who oppresses the poor is like a driving rain that leaves no crops."
Proverbs 28:6,
"Better a poor man whose walk is blameless than a rich man whose ways are perverse."
Proverbs 28:27,
"He who gives to the poor will lack nothing, but he who closes his to them receives many cruses."
Proverbs 29:7,
"The righteous care about justice for the poor, but the wicked have no such concern."
Proverbs 30:8-9,
"Keep falsehood and lies far from me; give me neither poverty nor
riches, but give me only my daily bread. Otherwise, I may have too much
and disown you and say, 'Who is the Lord?' Or I may become poor and
steal, and so dishonor the name of my God."
Proverbs 31:20,
"She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy."
Wednesday,
February 28, 2007--
Here we are, the last day of February! My, how time flies ..... So much
has happened .... The past few weeks have been very stressful. Met with
pastor Jeremy today. Then went to the Bible study with pastor Joe. Rode
my bike to the Youth Center, looking for Ben and Billy. They had just
left. Caught up with them just as Teresa was walking Ben home. Ben
started boxing class today. He did some sit-ups and practiced on the
punching bag.
QUOTES ... "It is impossible to rightly govern the world without God and the Bible" President George Washington, September 17th, 1796
